My Life In Radio Stories
This is going to be an album of stories (14 or so) that I produced for radio programs, always public radio programs, back before the internet and podcasting. In those days the story aired one time and the audience was live, spread out across the country. If you weren’t listening to your radio at that time, the story was gone and it wasn’t coming back.
I liked how it was back then, the feeling of listening together, in the moment, with people all over the country. This is what drew me to radio in the first place.
Now, these days, we listen alone, whenever and wherever we want—to our news, our music, our friends. So be it.
One advantage of the internet is I can post my long-disappeared radio stories here where they will be available at any time until the power goes out.
I’d like to post all these stories at once, on the same page, but I’m fairly ignorant of website design, so I’ll be posting a story every couple days for the next month.
I invite you to listen for free and then decide whether the stories are worthy of a donation. If so, please press this button:
